SELLING FAQS //

Is an open house required when selling?

The short answer, no.

Opens can be an effective way to showcase a property and get potential buyers inside your home, yet they also have their drawbacks. For many, the experience can feel like an invasion of privacy and can present potential security concerns. Because of that, if you don’t feel comfortable with an open, or have any concerns, don’t hesitate to voice them to our Team or your agent.

If you don’t feel comfortable with an open, our team has the systems and agents available to ensure your home can be shown whenever you and the potential buyers are available.

Does having or not having an open impact your selling price?

No.

We’ve sold over 3,500 homes and have had success both with and without opens. Our experience has taught us that serious buyers will call their agent or us to schedule a private appointment.

We’ve decided on an open, what should I do?

If you do decide an open is a benefit, there are precautions you can take to mitigate the risks. Protect your valuables by placing them out of sight and somewhere secure like a safe or at a friend’s home.

As always, a member of our team will be with you every step of the way, so if you have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to call us at 604.983.2518.
