Bank of Canada Raises Key Interest rate to 0.5 per cent

The Bank of Canada has raised its key interest rate by 25 basis points to 0.5 percent, its first hike in nearly three years. The change comes as the domestic economy has been rebounding strongly, and amid fears of growing inflation.
