Major Mixed-Use Development Proposed for Lynn Creek Moves One Step Closer

Change is on the horizon for North Vancouver’s Lynn Creek neighbourhood as a major redevelopment proposal takes a significant step forward. On July 21, the District of North Vancouver council unanimously agreed to advance a large-scale, mixed-use project from Denna Homes, known as Seylynn Centre, bringing two new high-rise towers into focus.

If given final approval, the proposed development would dramatically reshape the block bordered by Fern Street and Hunter Street, just east of Mountain Highway. The plan features a 34-storey west tower and a 30-storey east tower, collectively delivering 683 new homes, a mix of strata condominiums and rentals, along with commercial, office, and community-serving spaces.

What’s Planned

The project includes a blend of market and below-market housing. The west tower will house 338 condominiums, along with over 12,000 square feet of retail, including a sizable restaurant, and nearly 17,000 square feet of office space. The east tower is dedicated to 345 rental units, 72 of which are intended to be offered at below-market rates to support low- and moderate-income households. A child care facility for 49 children is also included in the plans.

Another key feature is a public plaza, envisioned as a central gathering space for residents and visitors. The design aims to preserve mountain views while creating an open and welcoming atmosphere between the towers.

Because the project includes amendments to the District’s Official Community Plan, it must still undergo a public hearing, which is expected to take place in September. The hearing will give community members the chance to weigh in on what could become one of Lynn Creek’s most transformative developments.

Stay tuned for updates as this ambitious project moves toward final approval and the next chapter for Lynn Creek begins to take shape.
