1634 + 1748 Capilano Road | Lions Gate Village, North Vancouver
Musson Cattell Mackay Partnership Architects have proposed another interesting development in the newly masterplanned Lions Gate Village that looks to replace the Comfort Inn/Best Western locations on the east side of Lower Capilano Road.
The application proposes a mixed use complex composed of;
+ 24-storey concrete tower w/ 275 owned apartment units
+ 3-storey building w/ 24 rental units
+ 10-storey building hosting a hotel w/ 170 hotel rooms (approx 145,000 sq/ft)
+ Retail spaces parallel to Capilano Road
Underground and surface parking will accommodate 525 vehicles, preventing further stress to already limited parking in the area. In order to move ahead, the project requires both rezoning and amendments to the exisiting Official Community Plan.
