 The "Cornish House" //

The "Cornish House", built in 1911, has just been listed for sale by Re/Max Crest Realty. It's a District of North Vancouver heritage listed home.

What's special about the "Cornish House"? Via the DNV Heritage Register: it was 'designed and built as a show home by Benjamin John Cornish, a partner in Cornish & Cooper, contractors who built many homes in the North Lonsdale area. Cornish was one of the early settlers on the North Shore, and had been elected a Councillor for the District of North Vancouver in 1899'

Fun fact: 'Cornish sold the house in 1921 to the Ames family, who in 1925 installed the first electric Christmas lights in the District.'
