Spotted New E-Bikes Around North Van? Here's What's Up
If you've noticed a fresh fleet of e-bikes popping up around North Vancouver lately, you're not imagining things — there's a new player in town. The North Shore’s e-bike share program just got a refresh, and Evolve (powered by BCAA) is now officially the new operator for North Van and the City of North Vancouver.
You might remember Lime, the previous provider. Their permit wrapped up recently, and after a full review process, Evolve was chosen to take the handlebars moving forward. The new bikes are hitting the streets just in time for summer.
The e-bike share program has been a popular way for locals and visitors to get around — whether you’re commuting, running errands, or just exploring. And with North Van’s infamous hills, the extra boost from an e-bike can make all the difference.
Evolve's launch means continued access to a convenient, affordable, and greener way to travel. Plus, with BCAA already behind Evo car share, North Shore residents now have even more transportation options that don’t involve owning a car (or sitting in traffic).
You can find bike locations, service areas, and all the booking details right in the Evo app.
So next time you're heading out — to grab coffee, hit the trails, or just cruise around the neighbourhood — keep an eye out for the new Evolve e-bikes. They’re ready to ride.
