Annual Pumpkin Drop Returns to North Vancouver — A Smashing Good Time for a Great Cause

Oct. 28, 2025 | See+Do | By Aaron Rossetti

Halloween might be over, but the fun isn’t! On Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., join the North Vancouver City Fire Department for their beloved Pumpkin Drop — a one-of-a-kind local event where leftover jack-o’-lanterns take a five-storey plunge for charity.

Hosted behind the City Fire Hall at 165 E 13th Street, the event invites families, friends, and pumpkin enthusiasts to bring their post-Halloween creations and watch them fly — literally. Firefighters will drop pumpkins from the top of the station’s hose tower, turning squishy orange leftovers into an exciting (and slightly messy) spectacle.
