Sewell's Horseshoe Bay Development Application withdrawn

July 12, 2016 | New Developments | By Aaron Rossetti

The on-again, off-again redevelopment of Sewell's Marina in Horseshoe Bay took a step back last week as the application for redevelopment was withdrawn before the scheduled public hearing. The development, in partnership with Westbank Projects, planned for 159 apartment and townhome units to be built overlooking Sewell's Marina with 'six highrise, mid-rise and low-rise buildings, and 13,700 square feet of ground-floor commercial space'. Of concern, was affordability and the ability of local residents to purchase the 570 - 3,000 sq/ft homes.
